Well, we have hit the stop loss for Atna Resources Ltd. (TSE:ATN) as well, so it is time to sell. This was another unfortunate trade, I'm going to have to revisit my criteria before posting another short term pick, I think the fact that I'm posting my picks now, is throwing them off, I'll spend some time making sure I follow my normal system before I post another pick.

So, the price at the time of this post is $1.02, and we bought at $1.11 so that translates into a loss of 8.11%...

Well, I have decided to sell my position in Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSE:JAG) this is because I have hit my stop loss point. This was an unfortunate trade because I thought it was going to do very well. This happens though, and this is exactly why we put stop losses in place.

So, the price at the time of this post is $9.65, and we bought at $10.42 so that translates into a loss of 7.39%...

If you are new to the dividend stock world, you may be a little confused about where you can go to find out a companies dividend payout history. Well, you need not look any further because I plan on telling you some of the resources that I like to use when I'm looking into dividend paying stocks. So far we have covered where to go to find solid dividend paying companies, so I felt that we should start looking at how we can verify they are good stocks, and best place to start is with their dividends. You must note that there are many more resources available, but I am concentrating on the FREE Dividend stock Information that I like to use.

The last speculative short-term buy pick that I have for you today is Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines Ltd. (CVE:MSQ).

The chart was grabbed from Stockcharts.com and can be found at the bottom of this post, from it we can see that both the MACD and slow stochastic are heading up, there has been a crossover on the slow stochastic as well as a change in direction of the MACD. The lower bollinger band had a recent crossover and there has been a recent change in direction of the RSI which means that the market is getting 'bullish' on the stock. This pick might be coming a bit early, but lets ride it out and see what happens.

At the time of this writing the current price is $1.71. I will create a new post when I feel it is time to exit the position, and we'll see what kind of gains we can get from this pick.

The second speculative short-term buy pick that I have for you today, is Atna Resources Ltd. (TSE:ATN)

The chart was grabbed from Stockcharts.com and can be found at the bottom of this post, right away we can see that hte RSI has been sitting below 30 for a few days now, and yesterday we had a big gain of 6.73% which pushed it above the 30 line, the gain yesterday, pushed the slow stochastic into a crossover, and made the MACD change its direction, we had a recent 'touch' of the bollinger band as well. We might get a 'correction' today after yesterdays big gain, so we might see a bit of a drop during the day. the moving averages are on the decline, but based on the recent volume I think that this stock is getting ready to go up even more, BUT at this point I think that it is a VERY speculative pick for the short term. So proceed with caution.

Today I am bringing you three speculative short-term buys, The first of these is Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSE:JAG) . Once again, all of my short term picks are 100% based on technical analysis. So take a quick look at the chart, and lets get started.

The chart was grabbed from Stockcharts.com and can be found at the bottom of this post, from it we can see that both the slow stochastic and the MACD are on the rise, we have seen a crossover on the slow stochastic and we are on the verge of a crossover on the MACD. The RSI is sitting just above the 30 line, so that means we are close to being oversold. and most importantly, we are sitting right on the 200 SMA line, which is usually considered a point of resistance.

Well, It is time to sell TSE:TA, I am disappointed in this trade because it didn't go as well as I thought it would. We bought at $31.74 and now I am selling at $32.41 so that would mean a gain of 2.1%. Not too good, but at least it's not a losing trade, so that is something to be happy about.
